erm its probably closed atm .. though talking to the gate woman and looking at the fence round the site it would be easy to get access .. there are a few roosts of bats on site so you may have to deal with them :)

wow...this sure beats my visits to manor and castles....damn my being a yank! we have nothing as grand or ruined like you brits....well, weve got the native buildings....but that it....and i wonder, this is in worchestershire? like the sauce? no im kidding, we passed through en route to some far off place...have you ever been to that ruined castle near to new-castle upon-tyne? i forget its name...it begins with a "W" warthrot, warothan...something, but its beautiful there...so is dunstanburgh

Yep its the county named after the sauce .. or was the sauce named after the county .. I can never tell LOL ... There are a lot of "clean" manor houses round the country (and one or two in a worse state then this ;) ) But I really like the ruined look to this place :) ... As for Newcastle .. I don't really get up that end of the country but I would love to go to Lyndesfarne some time that would be really cool ... are you talking about Warkworth ? [link]
