More printy goodness and more HDR .. This time of a lovely lil Benedictine Priory that was found (well I knew about it before tbh LOL) on a recent outing ..

Head here -> [link] and order a spangly printed copy to hang proudly on your wall :D

And make your friendly neigbourhood CausticStock a happy bunny :D

Damn you, for rockin' these HDR pics like this.;) How many shots is this made of?

You're seriously making me ITCH to get to something abandoned to go HDR wild. :eager:

Your pics are being really fantastic lately... are you doing something to augment them?

Here's a question from someone that doesn't know what HDR is....

What is HDR? lol

High Dynamc Range .. Simply the digital sensor (and film if your an older fart than me) isn't as good as the human eye at being able to "see" the rage of brightness in a normal view (hense you can get "blown out" skies or shadows depanding on where you take your metering from).. What HDR allows you to do is take a few exposures (one normally around the "correctly" exposed level .. on (or 2 a stop or two over exposed (to get the details in the shadows) and one (or 2) under exposed (to get the details in the highlights)... You then shove the pics through a hdr processing software ... Photomatix (the one I use more than any other) can come out with some freaky after effects and colours (as you can see form the prints and recent stuff) though the colours really make people go "WEOW !" PS from CS2 onwards also allows you to do HDR via the Automate option on the File menu .. PS is a lot more subtle than Phtomatrix and can come out with more realistic colour spreads .. Its horses for courses...

Go take a look at StuckInCustoms.COM too there are some nice pics on there and information too about hdr
