A joint venture between Elandria and myself .. on a recent trip to the borders of bonny Scotland we happend accross Abbortsford House, the ancestral home of the author, poet Sir Walter Scott [link] . Lucky for us they allow photography through out the house (well the bits that are open to the public) .. I remember some one asking some time ago for some library pictures and I been on a hunt for them ever since . Some of the shots are of book shelves and some are of the room itself hope they can be of use .. this is part 1 of a 2 part set the next is to go up tomorrow, as I need to do a lil clone job on one of them

this guy liked his occult books and tbh there are some pretty damn rare books in his collection .. there are books dating back to the early 1600's .. Ordanace survey books from the 1700's (Ordanance survey being the UK's mapping people .. bit like US rand McNally I think) and other books .. twas so cool to be able to get here thanks too for the
Lol yep your right the general public can't just get the books out and read them (think Lannt would still be there if they coold) youcould stroke and caress the spines though ... 400 year old books you'll sorta understand the whole "stroke and caress the spines" comment ...
As for Ordnance Survey .. as I said before they are the UK's mapping department [link] as Walter Scott was a traveled man and a man of litracey he probably hade an interest in the local areas or just plane wanted to show off his collection of books
Yes, stroking and carressing the spines of 400 year old books does sound oddly appealing. When, in truth, it should sound oddly fetish-istic. But I doubt that was what you meant.
I don't think I would ever leave if they let me read those occult books either!!
I think that Sir Walter was just trying to impress the locals with the books. They wouldn't give a rat's patootie if he had the only surviving books from the Alexandrian library but if he had books detailing the entire landscape of England THAT would be impressive to them!
And when we're talking about occult, we're talking "The Rituals of Satan" and "Witchcraft of Pendle" (One of the more well read ones lol) Yer... the guy had a serious thing going on with the occult - having said that you can probably make out quite a few of the names in the full view and oohhhhh bbboookkkssss I was seriously unhappy that I wasn't allowed to sit in a corner and read until my eyes bled *sigh*

That would be so cool to read "Witchcraft of Pendle!!" "Rituals of Satan" sounds like marvellous fun too! I would have read until my eyes bled too!!
And why is it that all of the more interesting books in a library are never excessable to normal people?? You have to pay a sizable donation to be able see the cool books!!! Which sucks when you have no money to buy them with.
Don't think this is just another news article with the usual love deviations that have already hundreds of favorites! All of these deviations don't have even 100 favorites & they're the best!
Please watch them closely and show your appreciation! @
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.

You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

... Myself, I'd prefer the Alexandrian library.
